Become a Volunteer

The Northern Arizona shooting range is owned by the AZ Game and Fish Department. The operations of the range are conducted by the non-profit Northern Arizona Shooting Foundation Inc., an all volunteer group of enthusiasts who work hard to keep the range going.  Volunteers are needed for all kinds of activities, from cleaning up the range, stocking clay targets, helping with registered shoots or becoming a range safety officer on the rifle, pistol, or shotgun ranges.  New volunteers will be paired with experienced volunteers to learn what to do.  You will be rewarded for your help:

  • Get a FREE individual range membership for the following year by volunteering 10 times

  • Get a FREE family range membership for the following year by volunteering 15 times

  • Train with an experienced volunteer for 3-4 sessions and then take an 1.5-hour RSO Training and become an RSO, which enables you have additional hours of range time not available to the public
